MANCHESTER UNITED have today tabled a shock £26million bid for Cesc Fabregas.
David Moyes wants to kick off his Old Trafford regime by making Barcelona’s
former Arsenal star his first major signing.
And the new United chief has made his move for the ex-Gunner after arriving in
Australia on the club’s summer tour.
Fabregas quit the Premier League in 2011 when he left the Emirates to head
home to Catalonia.
But he has failed to nail down a permanent first XI spot at the Nou Camp and
had been tipped with a move away this summer.
The Spain ace, 26, last season admitted he would leave the Catalans if they
made it clear he was no longer wanted.
And United’s bid this afternoon could spark a bidding war with Arsenal, who
have first refusal on the midfielder.
